Tra Vinh is a coastal province steeped in southern Khmer culture, famous for hundreds of ancient pagodas set among centuries-old hopea and dipterocarp trees. The legendary Ba Om Pond, the dazzling gilded Vam Ray Pagoda and festivals such as Ok Om Bok and Chol Chnam Thmay create a rare and distinctive cultural space.
