Tuyen Quang is a revolutionary land hailed as the 'capital of the liberated zone', with the Tan Trao historic relic cluster, the Tan Trao banyan tree and the Na Nua hut tied to the days before the 1945 uprising. Beyond its historical value, Tuyen Quang also charms with the blue-green Na Hang hydropower lake, the poetic Mo Waterfall and a nature reserve of rolling primeval forest. The Thanh Tuyen Festival, with its parade of giant lanterns, is a highlight not to be missed.
