Ca Mau is the southernmost province of the country, a land bounded on three sides by the sea with a uniquely rich mangrove and cajuput forest ecosystem. The sacred Ca Mau Cape, U Minh Ha National Park and the deep-green rhizophora and avicennia forests create a wild, magnificent landscape recognized as a world biosphere reserve. The land of the cape is rich in crab, ba khia, fresh shrimp and fish, along with the famous U Minh wild honey. The people of Ca Mau are down-to-earth and free-spirited, bound to the forest and the sea at the very tip of the country.
Best time to visit: December to April, the dry season with calm seas convenient for getting around
