An Giang is the headwater land of the Mekong River, home to the mystical Seven Mountains (That Son) region and vast rice fields. The lush Tra Su cajuput forest in flood season and the sacred Ba Chua Xu Temple of Sam Mountain draw millions of pilgrims. This is also a meeting point of the Kinh, Khmer, Cham and Hoa cultures, creating a diverse identity and distinctive festivals.
