A resort town in the clouds at 900m, with cool air year-round and dreamy, drifting mist.

Tam Dao is a resort town perched on the mountain range of the same name at nearly 900 meters, discovered and developed by the French in the early 20th century. Wrapped in mist year-round and pleasantly cool, it has earned the nickname 'the Da Lat of the North.' Visitors come up to Tam Dao to escape the sweltering heat, stroll its winding slopes, conquer the 1,300 steps down to the Silver Waterfall, or check in at the moss-covered ancient stone church. When the mist descends, the whole town sinks into a dreamy, romantic haze like a fairyland. The vivid green chayote and steaming hot chicken hotpot make the trip all the more complete.
