Hon Phu Tu was once two limestone columns standing side by side in the sea, likened to a father and his child — an image printed on countless southern postcards for decades. In 2006 the 'father' collapsed into the water after heavy swell, leaving the 'son' alone; that story makes the place more affecting than a simple viewpoint. Around it runs the jagged limestone coast typical of Kien Luong, with Hang Pagoda tunnelling through the rock straight out to the sea and the sheltered Duong beach behind.

It lies off the Kien Luong coast, part of the Hang Pagoda – Hon Phu Tu scenic complex.

Walk out through Hang Pagoda — the tunnel is cool and the best part of the visit.
