Hoa Binh is the gateway to the northwest, homeland of the Muong people and of the Hoa Binh Culture famous in archaeology. Here lies the peaceful Mai Chau Valley with its Thai villages, stilt houses and captivating xoe dance; the vast Hoa Binh Lake likened to a 'miniature Ha Long Bay' along with the sacred Thac Bo Temple. Hoa Binh draws visitors with its mountain scenery, the Kim Boi hot mineral springs and the rich cultural identity of the Muong and Thai.
