An islet on the Tien River famous for the relics of the Coconut Religion, coconut handicraft villages and Ben Tre's signature coconut candy.
Con Phung is a lush green islet in the Tien River, tied to the curious story of the 'Coconut Monk' and the unique architectural works he left behind. Here, visitors stroll through a relic site with the Peace Tower, intricately carved with dragons and phoenixes, then lose themselves in the quintessential coconut land of Ben Tre. Everywhere is the fragrant hum of coconut-candy presses, and skilled hands weaving baskets and crafting wares from coconut trunk and fiber. Guests can sip cool coconut water, watch beekeeping for honey, and ride boats through shaded water-coconut canals. Con Phung is the place to feel the full soul of the coconut homeland.
