Bac Ninh is the storied land of Kinh Bac, the homeland of the sweet quan ho folk melodies inscribed by UNESCO. It is also the birthplace of the Ly Dynasty, with the imposing Do Temple honoring eight generations of kings. Bac Ninh is famed too for its traditional craft villages, such as Dong Ho painting, Phu Lang pottery, and Dai Bai bronze casting. In Bac Ninh, visitors immerse themselves in a culturally rich atmosphere and listen to the lien anh and lien chi singers passionately exchange their songs.
