A 31-hectare planted bamboo forest with eight trails, cool even in high summer.

Damyang has lived off bamboo for centuries — basketry, chopsticks, fans, and rice steamed inside a bamboo tube. Juknokwon is its bamboo forest opened to visitors, with eight paths bearing names like 'the lovers' way' and 'the path of contemplation'. Inside, the sound of leaves rubbing together is unlike anything else, and the temperature drops a few degrees. Nearby runs the two-kilometre metasequoia avenue, one of the most beautiful roads in Korea.
