A Joseon village rebuilt in full at Yongin, where blacksmiths, scholars and tightrope walkers still work every day.

More than 260 buildings were moved here or rebuilt in the styles of each region: thick-thatched southern cottages, officials' houses with inner courtyards, ox sheds, mills and a village well. What makes the place live, though, is the people: a potter at his wheel, a taffy-puller telling stories, and several times a day a jultagi tightrope walk with a nongak farmers' band drumming its way around the yard. Many Korean historical dramas are filmed here, so the scenery will feel oddly familiar.
