Three limestone stacks standing mid-river, painted and repainted for six centuries.

Three rocks rise out of the green water: people call them husband, wife and concubine, complete with a jealousy story to explain why the middle one turns away. The Joseon statesman Jeong Do-jeon grew up nearby and took his pen name from this very view. Tour boats circle the stacks, and at night they are floodlit. All of Danyang is limestone country, so a few minutes away are Gosu cave with its metre-long formations and winding roads along the river.
