A large three-level cave on Phoenix Mountain, with the Mo Ga stream flowing out of the rock below it.
Phoenix Mountain rises beside Highway 1B, named for a legend of two phoenixes turned to stone out of grief. Forty minutes of steep climbing brings you to the mouth — a vast stone vault half open to the sky, daylight dropping straight to the floor in a column. The cave has three levels: an upper one dry and bright, a middle one dim with stalactites hanging like curtains, and a lower one dark and cold. At the foot of the mountain the Mo Ga stream emerges from an underground cave, cool and clear all year, and becomes the natural swimming hole for the whole Vo Nhai valley each summer.
