The highest peak in the South, the 'rooftop' of the southeast with sacred temples, a modern cable car and ethereal seas of cloud.

Ba Den Mountain rises 986 meters, the highest peak in southern Vietnam and dubbed the 'rooftop' of this land. The mountain is tied to the legend of the chaste, sacred Ly Thi Thien Huong (Lady Den), so its slopes are clustered with ancient temples drawing pilgrims year-round. Today, a modern cable car carries visitors all the way to the summit, where the bronze Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue—the tallest of its kind in Asia—stands above a vast plaza. At dawn, a white sea of cloud rolls below your feet, making the summit of Ba Den feel like a fairyland amid the sun-and-wind of the southeast.
