A vast primeval forest in western Nghe An with the majestic Khe Kem Waterfall and one of the country's most diverse ecosystems.
Spreading across the mighty Truong Son Range, Pu Mat National Park is the green treasure of western Nghe An, with more than ninety thousand hectares of primeval forest. It is home to the rare saola, wild elephants, black gibbons and countless ancient plant species. Visitors can follow the crystal-clear Giang River by boat, bathe beneath the white cascade of Khe Kem Waterfall plunging from over a hundred meters, or visit the Dan Lai people who live in isolation deep in the wilderness. The birdsong, the scent of plants and the cool waters here offer a rare experience of pristine serenity for nature lovers.
