A pine valley around Da Thien lake, the oldest landscaped garden in Da Lat.

The Valley of Love is one of Da Lat's oldest attractions: the French called it the Vallée d'Amour from the early twentieth century, and Da Thien lake was later dammed in the middle of it. The landscape is pine slopes running gently down to a small lake, with clipped flower gardens between. The site has been heavily commercialised with photo sets, electric buggies, a glass bridge and various added structures — so if you are after untouched nature, this is not the place. But for families with young children, or anyone wanting an easy walk among pines, it is pleasant.

Travel tips

This is a heavily commercialised site — for untouched nature choose Tuyen Lam lake instead.
Go early in the day; at weekends the photo areas are crowded and you queue for pictures.
