The Bottle Pagoda — every surface inlaid with broken pottery, glass and ceramic shards.
People call Linh Phuoc the Bottle Pagoda because nearly every surface here — walls, columns, roofs, statues, the forty-metre dragon in the courtyard — is inlaid with shards of pottery, ceramic and broken bottles set into multicoloured patterns. The pagoda has the tallest seven-tier bell tower in Vietnam, holding a bell of eight tonnes on which visitors paste written prayers. Below the main hall a walk-through tunnel represents the eighteen levels of hell. The pagoda is at Trai Mat, exactly at the far terminus of the train line from Da Lat station.
