An orange suspension bridge over the Dak Bla river, the way across to the Ba Na villages.

Kon Klor is the largest suspension bridge in the Central Highlands, painted orange against the green of the Dak Bla — one of the few rivers in Vietnam that flows west. It links Kon Tum city to the Ba Na villages on the far bank, where soaring rong communal houses still stand among banana groves and cane fields running down to the water. At the city end is the Kon Klor rong house, one of the largest left, built entirely of thatch, bamboo and timber in the traditional way. In the evening people come out onto the bridge for the air and to watch the sun set over the river bend.
