Ba Ho Stream

Three stepped pools in forest, with a boulder scramble to reach the highest.

Ba Ho runs down off the mountain and on the way pools three times, each pool higher than the last. The first is easy — about fifteen minutes' walk from the car park — and most visitors stop there. Getting to the second and third is another matter: you scramble over large mossy granite boulders, with rope in places, and it takes about another hour. In exchange, the top pool is almost empty, the water clear to the bottom, cliffs standing round it. This is a place for people who want to move, not for a stroll.

Did you know

The stream forms three stepped pools, each higher than the one below.
The first pool is about 15 minutes' walk from the car park.
Reaching the second and third pools means scrambling over large granite boulders.
The stream is about 25km north of Nha Trang.

Travel tips

The mossy granite is very slippery — wear grippy shoes and absolutely no flip-flops.
Do not climb to the upper pools during or just after rain; the water rises fast.
