Binh Ba Island

Binh Ba Island — Khanh Hoa

The lobster island in Cam Ranh bay — rafts filling the water and the cheapest seafood around.

Binh Ba lies in Cam Ranh bay, about fifteen minutes by boat from shore, and they call it the lobster island: the water around it is packed with rafts farming spiny lobster, the main livelihood here. That makes the seafood fresher and far cheaper than in Nha Trang — eating lobster at the rafts is why most visitors come. There are also three main beaches: Bai Chuong, Bai Nom and Bai Nha Cu, clear and quiet. The island is small enough to ride round in half a day. Because it lies in a military area, rules for foreign visitors can change — check before going.
