Ten kilometres of fine white sand, shallow water a hundred metres out.
Doc Let is about fifty kilometres north of Nha Trang, in Ninh Hoa, and it has two things the town beach does not: sand as fine and white as powder, and a shelf that runs out a very long way — you can wade a hundred metres and still only be chest deep. That makes it the best beach in the region for families with young children. The beach runs about ten kilometres, so even at weekends you can find an empty stretch. Nearby are the Hon Khoi salt fields, where salt workers rake salt into white mounds under the sun — worth a stop if you pass in the morning.
