A legendary floating market where seven river branches meet, once the busiest and most famous in the Mekong Delta.

Nga Bay Floating Market, also known as Phung Hiep Floating Market, is a cultural icon of the Hau Giang waterland, formed in the early twentieth century where seven rivers converge at a single point. It was once the largest and busiest floating market in the Mekong Delta, immortalized in the famous song 'Tinh anh ban chieu' by playwright Vien Chau. At dawn, hundreds of boats laden with produce, fruit and household goods bustle in trade, each hoisting a signature beo pole. Visitors ride boats threading through the market, savor a hot bowl of bun rieu right on the river and feel the free-spirited, warm-hearted rhythm of life of the Mekong's river traders.
