A fiery hotspot of the anti-American war, where ten young volunteer women heroically died, becoming an immortal symbol.
Dong Loc Junction was a blood-and-fire point on the legendary Truong Son Trail, having endured thousands of tons of bombs and shells during the fierce years of the anti-American war. Here, on July 24, 1968, ten young volunteer women in their twenties fell while filling bomb craters, keeping the lifeline of transport flowing without pause. The relic site today lies quiet with ten white graves, a ringing bell tower and a museum marking that age of fire. Coming here, every Vietnamese bows their head, moved before the noble sacrifice of the immortal flowers of Dong Loc.
