An ancient, sacred pagoda atop the Hong Linh Range, hailed as the foremost scenic spot of Hoan Chau in the Nghe Tinh region.
Set on the slopes of Huong Tich Peak in the Hong Linh Range, this ancient pagoda is tied to the legend of Princess Dieu Thien, who attained enlightenment to become the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. Built during the Tran Dynasty, the pagoda hides among ancient forest trees, white clouds drifting around it, lending an air of secluded sanctity. The journey up takes visitors past the babbling Huong Tuyen Stream, the Holy Mother shrine and moss-covered stone steps. From the heights, the Ha Tinh countryside unfolds in layers of lush green. Each spring, the Huong Tich Pagoda Festival draws tens of thousands of Buddhists and pilgrims.
