The sacred northernmost point of the country, where the red flag with a golden star flies high above the rocky plateau.

Standing atop Lung Cu, the wind sweeps in from the border carrying the crisp chill of the highlands. The 54-square-metre flag — symbolising Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups — flutters proudly against the sky. After climbing all 839 stone steps, the entire Dong Van Karst Plateau unfolds beneath your feet: terraced fields, Hmong villages, and the border winding along the Nho Que River.
