A Ramsar site recreating a miniature Plain of Reeds, a paradise of red-crowned cranes and hundreds of rare waterbird species.

Tram Chim National Park is the most famous wetland in Dong Thap, recognized as a globally important Ramsar site. Across more than seven thousand hectares, it vividly recreates the primeval Plain of Reeds ecosystem with cajuput forest, eleocharis meadows, wild rice and endless lotus and water lilies. Tram Chim is home to more than two hundred bird species, the most precious being the red-crowned crane, a Red Book bird that comes here to feed in the dry season. Skimming the canals on a tac rang boat, visitors watch flocks of storks, night herons and water cocks fill the sky and immerse themselves in the pristine wild nature of the Mekong waterland.
