A vast biosphere reserve of primary tropical forest, rich biodiversity and a rescue center for bears and langurs.

Cat Tien National Park spreads across three provinces and is one of the most precious patches of primary tropical forest remaining in southern Vietnam. A UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, it is home to hundreds of rare bird and mammal species such as elephants, gaurs and yellow-cheeked gibbons. Visitors cycle through the forest to a thousand-year-old tung tree, paddle on Crocodile Lake to watch wild crocodiles, or visit the Primate and Bear Rescue Center. After dark, a spotlight tour in search of wildlife brings a sense of adventure deep in the ancient forest.

Did you know

Cat Tien was recognized by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve in 2001.
Crocodile Lake (Bau Sau) is an internationally important Ramsar wetland.
The park was home to Vietnam's last Javan rhinoceros (declared extinct in 2010).
Its ancient tung tree is famous for its enormous buttress roots.
