Homeland of elephant hunting and taming, rich in the cultural identity of the Central Highlands.
Buon Don is a legendary land beside the surging Serepok River, long tied to the tradition of hunting and taming wild elephants. Swaying bamboo suspension bridges link the river's islets, and the long stilt houses of the Ede and M'Nong people hide beneath ancient trees. By the flickering fire, the sound of gongs echoes, jars of rice wine pass from hand to hand, and the Central Highlands people tell you stories of the forest, of elephants, and of a generous culture in the heart of the great wilderness.
