An ancient temple to Lady Thien Hau, the center of Binh Duong's largest palanquin procession festival on the 15th of the first lunar month.

Ba Thien Hau Temple in Thu Dau Mot is an ancient temple built by the local Chinese community to worship the Heavenly Mother Thien Hau, patron of seafarers and bringer of peace. The architecture is richly southern-Chinese, with yin-yang tiled roofs, intricate dragon and phoenix figures and incense smoke curling year-round. On the 15th of the first lunar month, the procession of the Lady's palanquin unfolds joyously, drawing tens of thousands from everywhere and turning the whole city into a sea of people, banners and lively lion-dragon dances. It is the largest and most distinctive spiritual-cultural festival in the southeastern region.
