A grand old mansion of the Bac Lieu Playboy, preserving the legendary tales of a famous high-living landlord of the south.
The House of the Bac Lieu Playboy is a magnificent old mansion on the bank of the Bac Lieu River, tied to the famous legend of Tran Trinh Huy, the most notorious high-living playboy in the south in the early twentieth century. The house was built in a luxurious Western style with materials imported from France, with exquisitely carved fine-wood interiors and dazzling crystal chandeliers. Inside, it still preserves many precious relics such as mother-of-pearl-inlaid furniture, a hot-and-cold bed and valuable antiques. Stories of the playboy burning money to boil eggs and flying his own plane to tour his fields have become legend. Visiting here, travelers feel as if they've traveled back in time to the golden age of the great landlord class of the Mekong.
