A stepped stream running through the Huyen Dinh – Yen Tu valley, tied to a trio of temples honouring the Mother Goddess of the Forest.
Suoi Mo threads through a valley in the Huyen Dinh – Yen Tu range, dropping in white steps between boulders and pooling in clear rock basins. A footpath follows the water upstream, past old-growth shade and the constant sound of falling water, to the Lower, Middle and Upper temples dedicated to the Mother Goddess of the Forest — said to be Que My Nuong, a Hung King's daughter who opened the spring to save a drought-stricken valley. On ordinary days it feels like a private forest; during the third-lunar-month festival, pilgrims arrive from across the old Kinh Bac region.
