A pristine archipelago in the East Sea, famous for untouched beaches, marine ecosystems and historic prison relics.

Con Dao is an archipelago of 16 islands large and small lying off the East Sea, once known as 'hell on earth' for its brutal colonial-era prison system. Today, Con Dao has been reborn as one of the country's foremost spiritual and ecological destinations: the sacred Hang Duong Cemetery with the revered grave of Vo Thi Sau, crystal-clear beaches, coral reefs and sea turtles that come ashore to lay eggs each season. Its tranquil, contemplative beauty mingled with wildness makes Con Dao a place both for reflection and for resting amid pure nature.
