A deep-fried red bean bun and a crisp cream pastry โ the reason people get off the train at Daejeon.
The bakery opened in 1956 with a rented steamer and is now the symbol that earned Daejeon the nickname 'bread city'. Two things to try: twigim-soboro, a red bean bun deep-fried and coated in crumbs, and the layered pastry filled with fresh cream. Queues stretching onto the pavement are normal.
Flavour: Sweet, crisp outside and soft within
